THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!

"There's nothing more deep than recognizing Israel's right to exist. That's the most deep thought of all..." -- G.W. Bush

FLASHBACK - The Israeli Spy Ring

Prior to 9/11, the FBI had discovered the presence of a massive spy ring inside the United States run by the government of Israel. This seems a harsh gratitude from a nation which obtains 10% of its annual budget from the American taxpayer, $3+ billion a year. Over the years, American taxpayers have been required to send Israel more than four times what the US spent to go to the moon.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Over at Forbes, Skull and Bones member Christopher Buckley has written an article suggesting that the recent arrested Russian spies are reason to distrust Russia and Russians as a class. Well, sauce for the goose; the fact is that the presumed Russian spy ring is quite tiny compared to the massive Israeli spy operation that was uncovered in the weeks before 9-11, and three of whose members were arrested after being seen cheering and "high-fiving" as the World Trade Towers collapsed.

So, if the 12 Russians spies detected a few weeks ago are a reason to distrust Russia, are not the hundreds of Israeli spies identified in 2001 a reason to distrust Israel?

After all, it wasn't Russians attacking Americans in international waters last May, was it?
