How the Megaphonies manipulate the internet

IsraeliGirl. Here's her user profile page.

On that page, in the about section, it says:

I've been a marketing consultant to high tech companies for the last 10 years. I am also one of the founders of giyus.org, a pro-Israeli public diplomacy group.

So I went to GIYUS.org to see what kind of a group it is. There homepage is as you might expect.

GIYUS it turns out is an acronym for Give Israel Your United Support. And here is what is displayed on the front page of GIYUS.org.

Today's conflicts are won by public opinion.

Israel armed with internet savvy

The thermal imaging footage shot from an Israeli drone hovering over Gaza shows eight Palestinian militants loading rockets on to a lorry. Within seconds, the drone’s sights are locked on to the vehicle and it and the ghostlike figures nearby are incinerated in a missile blast.

Or so tens of thousands of visitors to the popular video-posting internet site YouTube have been led to believe. The clip was one of several dramatic scenes uploaded to the site by the Israeli army last week, the first time a national army has created its own YouTube channel.

A subsequent investigation by the Israeli human rights group B’Tselem attracted less attention. It suggests the rockets were in fact gas canisters and that the supposed militants were civilians moving welding equipment after their workshop had been damaged in one of the hundreds of Israeli air strikes on Gaza over the past week.

New powers for police to hack your PC

Police have been given the power to hack into personal computers without a court warrant. The Home Office is facing anger and the threat of a legal challenge after granting permission. Ministers are also drawing up plans to allow police across the EU to collect information from computers in Britain.

The moves will fuel claims that the Government is presiding over a steady extension of the "surveillance society" threatening personal privacy.

Webmaster's Commentary:

In this age of cheap computers, real criminals and terrorists will have a second computer, not connected to the net, which contains their private data. Jump disks and digital media grow steadily smaller with higher capacity, DVD-roms are flat enough to hide in book covers and the sides of luggage.

This hacking into private PCs is not about stopping crime but keeping people scared into not communicating their concerns with others; to keep the people isolated and emotionally dependent on the government.

IsraeliGirl violates Digg TOS

Is it just a coincidence that the day before I was banned I sent out a shout asking my friends to bury a particular article submitted by IsraeliGirl, and also suggested that they bury any other articles posted by IsraeliGirl? Why am I the one that got banned, when clearly IsraeliGirl and the Megaphonies are the ones gaming the system on Digg?

Is Digg another "Israeli-Occupied Territory" on the internet? Why does Digg allow someone who blatantly advertises their connection to a coordinated effort to manipulate internet public opinion to continue to be a member? IsraeliGirl is clearly in gross violation of the Digg Terms of Service, yet she has been allowed to become one of the most powerful Digg members recently. And this is at a time when Israel is engaging in the massacre of innocent Palestinians.

Twitter phishing scam may be spreading

The effect of getting taken in by this scam seems to be that affected accounts send messages to their followers with the original phishing message. To date, no other effect of falling victim to the scam has been reported. However, since many people use the same user ID and password for multiple online services, it's possible that credentials collected from this scam could be used to log in to other services, including financial sites.

Police set to step up hacking of home PCs

THE Home Office has quietly adopted a new plan to allow police across Britain routinely to hack into people’s personal computers without a warrant.

The move, which follows a decision by the European Union’s council of ministers in Brussels, has angered civil liberties groups and opposition MPs. They described it as a sinister extension of the surveillance state which drives “a coach and horses” through privacy laws.

The hacking is known as “remote searching”. It allows police or MI5 officers who may be hundreds of miles away to examine covertly the hard drive of someone’s PC at his home, office or hotel room.

Material gathered in this way includes the content of all e-mails, web-browsing habits and instant messaging.

The Huffington Post: Israeli-Occupied Territory Why is the Huffington Post carrying water for the IDF? Follow the money …

There's a ready explanation of why, as the Israelis pound Gaza, the formerly antiwar Huffington Post has become a cheerleader for the IDF: it is due entirely to this.

When Arianna nabbed $25 million from Oak Investment Partners, of Palo Alto, California, she was acquired by a financial network that also has significant investments in the Israeli arms industry – an industry, I might add, directly subsidized and controlled by the Israeli government. For example, Oak Investment has invested in IET/Intelligent Electronics, now morphed into Clickservice Software, an Israeli-based company that makes sophisticated weapons systems and sells them to clients such as "an unnamed Far Eastern country." Oak Investment partner Fred Harman now sits on the Huffington Post's board.

Case closed. Mystery solved.

Microsoft Takes Another Net Step Backwards as Global IE Share Drops to New Low

When you consider that Microsoft owned the browser market five years ago, IE's continued share erosion is a watershed event for Microsoft and the rest of the technology industry. Slowly but surely, the rise of the Internet is cracking the Windows monopoly apart, and as it does, Microsoft's relative power is likely to continue to wane.

Webmaster's Commentary:

About @#%ing time.

My latest "interaction" with Microsoft involved my Flight Simulator X, which announced a free upgrade over the holidays. I downloaded and installed the upgrade whereupon the simulator delicensed itself. Re-entering my product key did not correct the situation and of course, Microsoft charges for phone calls to correct the issue. This is WHY cracked pirated versions of Microsoft products are so popular; they are easier to install and keep running than the official versions.

I have uninstalled FSX and switched over to X-plane I recommend you do the same, and tell them I sent you! :)

Palestine RIP on dailymotion (the one censored by Youtube)

This video was linked to by What Really Happened.com as far back as 2004. It was re-made and placed on youtube in Jan 2006 in several languages. As of Dec 11, 2008 all but one form of the video (the Arabic language one) was removed from youtube/ADL. That is because the Arabic version of the video had been loaded twice. The first one much later than the French, German, japanese, or Spanish because I had a harder time finding a translator. So buried in my video I guess they didn't find it. Also the tags are in Arabic.

Did you notice how the ADL took out Youtube first and THEN Israel started a war? Copy it, upload it and make them censor you. It only means that they are afraid of us. Blogging and youtube growth has shaking the mass media. They aim to censor and control it.

Windows 7: Some Minor Improvements, No Game Changer

The first advance reviews of Microsoft (MSFT) Windows 7 Beta are starting to circulate, and here's what we know so far: It looks and feels a lot like Vista, but adds a handful of minor performance and UI improvements.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Worse, Microsoft is trying to sell a "pay as you go" plan, where you are billed for the software you use as you use it, and (presumably plugged into a cloud network) the compute cycles.

Frankly it looks like Microsoft is just doing in real life what it did in the latest commercials, call VISTA by another name and try to re-sell it.

I do not know about you but I am tired of the constant requirement for upgrades. The expense is high and the benefits few and mostly cosmetic. Microsoft has forgotten that the customer is always right, and has taken the attitude that we the computing public will lap up whatever Microsoft deigns to set before us.

It ain't so. Nothing typifies the arrogance and greed of US corporations over the last few decades more than Microsoft. And we the people are fed up with it.

I do not want VISTA. I do not want Windows 7. I especially do not want a newer operating system that places more control over MY hardware in the hands of Microsoft. XP is finally (just as they are about to junk it) soft of stable. I am keeping my XP machines until they corrode away and then I will replace them with LINUX boxes. I have had it with software designed by lawyers and marketing types.

SLYSOFT HAS DONE IT again with their highly recommended AnyDVD HD product. The new version 6.5.0.2, announced today, breaks the new revision of the unbreakable BD+.
