U.S. Copyright Group ‘Steal’ Competitor’s Website

The U.S. Copyright Group (USCG) has been all over the news in recent months. The lawyer group sued thousands of BitTorrent users who allegedly file-shared motion pictures belonging to their clients, including the Oscar-winning Hurt Locker. However, it turns out that USCG are not copyright purists either, as they have blatantly copied the website of a competitor without permission.

UN faults Israel's human rights

A UN panel of experts called Friday on Israel to fall in line with international norms on civil rights and to take action against targeted killings, torture and impunity for security forces.

The UN Human Rights Committee also called for an end to the blockade of Gaza and questioned the independence of Israel's own inquiry into a naval raid on a Gaza-bound relief supply ship in which nine Turkish nationals dead.

THE RULING ELITE CALLED

I just got off the horn with the Ruling Elite. We had an emergency conference call and to tell you the truth, they ain’t happy. You little people are not responding the way you are supposed to. A significant portion of you are not getting more optimistic because they tell you to. Instead of just reading the headline on Bloomberg that durable goods orders skyrocketed in June, you actually read the details that said durable goods orders plunged. It is getting difficult for the ruling elite to keep the masses sedated and dumbed down. These damn bloggers, with their facts and critical thinking, are throwing a wrench into the gears.

War it appears is imminent? Current drug shortages are telling the picture

Let me paint a picture for you. Keeping in mind any one drug shortage might be explainable, even two, but this overall combination is a tell tale sign of stockpiling for nuclear war, or even worse!

Just think, if you were the government facing nuclear war, what would you do? Would you stockpile things in a certain order? Yes! First, you would think in terms of battlefield casualties, then civilians. The order might be something like this, anesthesia, pain, (troop’s are always first priority) then radiation, disease, and malnutrition. You would want to stockpile drugs for these conditions and a pattern might be discerned. The FDA has made this all too easy, listing drugs in short supply.

Breaking a Promise on Surveillance

It is just a technical matter, the Obama administration says: We just need to make a slight change in a law to make clear that we have the right to see the names of anyone’s e-mail correspondents and their Web browsing history without the messy complication of asking a judge for permission.

It is far more than a technical change. The administration’s request, reported Thursday in The Washington Post, is an unnecessary and disappointing step backward toward more intrusive surveillance from a president who promised something very different during the 2008 campaign.

Yet the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 101 points.

Every day when the sun comes up things have gone through a little change. People find needles and condoms in the alleys and conditions are different than you expect they would be. Days turn into months and months into years as decades come and go and the sisters keep changing places while everything winds up in the hands of some people who belong to a tiny little country that suddenly appeared in the Middle East. Along with some other folk it turns out that 1% of the people own the majority of things and everybody else lives on chicken lips and deep fried butt rings.

Woman chronicled her own death from meningitis in phone pictures as doctors told her spreading rash was only a 'minor infection'

A desperate patient texted photos of a deadly rash spreading across her body to her mother as she lay dying on a hospital bed while being ignored by NHS doctors.

Critically ill Jo Dowling, 25, sent more than 40 pictures and messages to her mother and best friend as her life ebbed away.

Doctors ignored the rash and refused to believe she had blood poisoning caused by the meningitis bug, taking her off antibiotics and giving her painkillers instead.

Dem Rep Fires Aide After Distribution Of 'Jewish Money' List

Rep. Mike McMahon (D-NY) is in full-on damage control mode this evening after the New York Observer revealed that an aide to his reelection campaign attempted to highlight an opponent's out-of-district donor base with a list of donors entitled "Jewish Money Q2."

The basic summary of the situation, from the Observer piece: McMahon's finance director, who is Jewish, pored through the campaign finance reports from one of one of McMahon's Republican opponents, former FBI agent Mike Grimm, and compiled a list of donors to who she claimed are Jewish to showcase money raised Grimm raised from outside the Staten Island, New York district.

Jewish group, Md. reach deal on future claims of Torah rescuer

The probe followed a January Washington Post Magazine article that raised questions about Youlus's stories of rescuing Torahs hidden, lost or stolen during the Holocaust. In one story, Youlus claimed to have found a Torah hidden under the floorboards of a German concentration camp barracks years after the buildings had been demolished. In another, he described digging up a mass grave in the Ukraine and finding a Torah wrapped in a "Gestapo body bag."

...

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, this guy just made up a bunch of whoppers about rescued Torahs (shades of Oded Golan) and charges premium prices for his restored Torahs. Russian oil companies may sell gasoline to Iran

Three Russian state-controlled oil companies, including OAO Rosneft and OAO Gazprom Neft, may begin delivering gasoline to Iran in a month, said the head of the Iran Commission of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce Industry.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Nicely done, Bozos! In kowtowing to Israel's demand for war, you just cut off a major supply of oil to the west, cut off a major market for American and European refined petroleum and other products, and drove Iran further into the Russian sphere of influence. I know Israel is happy and that makes all the members of Congress and the President happy, but for everyone else, this was a screwed deal from the start. More nails got driven into the coffin of our economy, and Iran isn't shutting down their nuclear weapons program because they don't have one to shut down! We need to get Obama an Olympic Gold Medal for stupidity to go with his peace prize.

The Breakup of the United States

As the dissatisfactions of Americans with their national government grow, so does the likelihood of the breakup of the United States. I believe that most Americans can improve their well-being by ending the national government, that is, ending the Union. I believe that this goal should shape politics if politics is to do much good.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Please don't forget the tar and feathers. We need to create a deterrent against future abuses by government; i.e. give politicians a reason NOT to lie to the people. Because on the day when We The People have the courage to make the cost of a lie outweigh its benefit; when we bounce the liars out of our legislatures hard enough to bounce, and chase them out of town in the most humiliating manner possible, then and only then will we have an honest government. And we will not have it one day before.

'Lord' who filled pool with Courvoisier is banned from holding star-studded parties at his £20m home

Decadent celebrations at the 110-room, five-floor mansion in Portland Place include one where the swimming pool was filled with cognac.

Davenport hosted parties for Cher and Boy George, with guests such as Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, and also staged a masked ball and pole-dancing lessons.

At a Courvoisier party last December, guests could row across the pool filled with the luxury brandy.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I rather doubt that was really cognac in that pool, simply because the buoyancy is far less that water, meaning boats would founder and swimmers sink. It would also be a major fire hazard and the evaporating fumes from that large a body of cognac would be a health hazard. The career of John McCain offers a textbook case confirming how war is waged on the U.S. by way of deception—with the help of senior lawmakers.

Despite the constancy of his treasonous conduct, McCain seeks a fifth term in the U.S. Senate.

Reflect for a moment on our national experience since he was profiled, politically packaged and placed in the House in 1982. The “package” was then relocated to the Senate in 1986 on the retirement of Arizonan Barry Goldwater.

With McCain’s enthusiastic backing, our military was deployed to wage war abroad based on assurances from political leaders who were deceived to lead us to war. If not treason, what dare we call the conduct of those who enabled that fraud?

- The Chinese government now seems less-opposed to a US attack on Iran [big change]
- The Russian government is now less-opposed to a US attack on Iran [big change]
- The French government is now un-opposed to a US attack on Iran [big change]
- Recently more US and Israeli warships have been added to the waters off Iran

IMRAN KHAN: DON’T BLAME PAKISTAN FOR THE FAILURE OF THE WAR

Veterans Today

It is unfortunate that the US was unable to use the window of opportunity that it had in the immediate aftermath of the removal of the Taleban Government in late 2001. It could have brought in a truly broad-based Afghan government and invested in the development of the country. Instead, it continued its military actions and brought corrupt and criminal elements into power in Kabul.
Before the West invaded Afghanistan my country had no suicide bombers, no jihad and no Talebanisation

There is now a general recognition that the war in Afghanistan cannot be won militarily. All the Taleban have to do to win is not to lose. The Americans won’t stay and everybody knows that.

The Democrats' Gordian Knot: Obamacare Org Chart Unveiled

This story really needs no narrative -- the chart painstakingly put together by House Republicans on the Joint Economic Committee speaks for itself. An accelerating systemic collapse

Let's call this whatever-you-want-to-call-it a compressive deflationary contraction, because that's exactly what it is, an accelerating systemic collapse of activity due to over-investments in hyper-complexity (thank you Joseph Tainter). A number of things are going on in our society that can be described with precision. We've generated too many future claims on wealth that does not exist and has poor prospects of ever being generated. That's what unpayable debt is. We have such a mighty mountain of it that the Federal Reserve can "create" new digital dollars until the cows come home (and learn how to play chamber music), but they will never create enough new money to outpace the disappearance of existing notional money in the form of welshed-on loans.

Warning over useless products

An energy-saving device took more gas to boil a pan of water than without it, and supposedly eco-friendly tumble-dryer balls had no effect in tests and did not save time on drying. A peanut butter maker took 20 minutes to produce 40g of the spread – longer than it would take most people to walk to the corner shop for a 300g jar – and was almost impossible to clean. Which? also said consumers should avoid wash balls, designed to clean without detergent, and colour-catcher fabric sheets.

A test of 12 anti-wrinkle eye creams found a £2.98 pot of Simple moisturiser had the same "limited" effect as the most expensive cream. A test of petrol and diesel additives found none made a noticeable improvement to car performance.

I managed to disqualify myself by saying that while Hollywood was not really "run" by anyone (it's far too chaotic for that), if Jews were about 2.5 percent of the population and were about 60 percent of Hollywood, they might well be said to be extremely predominant in that sector.

That was far too logical and un-PC an answer, and I never heard from her again.

Government Has Run Amok Since 9/11

Those who understand the exploitative nature of big government suspected that the U.S. response to the 9/11 attacks had little to do with the security of the American people and much to do with power and money. Still, the magnitude of the scam, as revealed by the Washington Post last week, is astonishing.

Naturally, the politicians justify the growth in intelligence operations on national security grounds. To make sure such attacks never happen again, they said, new powers, agencies, personnel, and facilities were imperative.

Now the truth is out: the post–9/11 activity has been an obscene feeding frenzy at the public trough. Any resemblance to efforts at keeping Americans safe is strictly coincidental.

It is clearly evident that as far as the United States is concern you had better “Do as I say or else.”

Wiki "Leaks" - The final word?

"WikiLeaks is lame. Even the cover story, the mysterious Assange fleeing the murderous CIA, working to save the world is lame. Please, everyone, go to the site and read everything there. I have seen more confidential information on a weather report... When you read Mr. Assange’s output, you are looking at one of the Mossad games, nothing more... The game today is using Wikileaks, given its 15 minutes of fame for trashing the US in Iraq with the helicopter video, to spread imaginary stories about Pakistan, the only nuclear power in the Middle East capable of standing up to Israel, and the enemy of India"

[NB: Perhaps even more important, Pakistan is a staunch ally of China — a most dangerous liaison where USrael is concerned]

West Bank Bedouins worse off than Gazans

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) found that in Bedouin communities like al-Hadidiya, rates of stunting are more than double those in Gaza. Almost half the children have diarrhoea, one of the biggest killers of children under five in the world, and three quarters of families do not have enough nutritious food.

Baby drowned by priest during baptism

Webmaster's Commentary:

I cannot even begin to tell you how sick this story makes me feel. All these people stood there and watched this priests drown this little baby and nobody moved to stop him, because after all this is a church, and after all this guy is a priest, and they all BELIEVE God would never allow something like that to happen in his branch office. So they stand there obediently like the sheep they are and watch Father Bozo submerge the baby not once but three times.

So for all the Buy-Bull bangers already writing in to say that we should not judge the church by this latest-in-along-line of disasters, you explain to me why the God you claim to be omnipotent, omniscient, and all powerful didn't tap his staffer on the shoulder and whisper, "Look here, idiot; you're doing it wrong. Fish go under water and babies stay in the air!"

Document Reveals Military Was Concerned About Gulf War Vets' Exposure to Depleted Uranium

For years, the government has denied that depleted uranium (DU), a radioactive toxic waste left over from nuclear fission and added to munitions used in the Persian Gulf and Iraq wars, poisoned Iraqi civilians and veterans.

But a little-known 1993 Defense Department document written by then-Brigadier Gen. Eric Shinseki, now the secretary for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), shows that the Pentagon was concerned about DU contamination and the agency had ordered medical testing on all personnel that were exposed to the toxic substance.

The VA, however, never conducted the medical tests, which may have deprived hundreds of thousands of veterans from receiving medical care to treat cancer and other diseases that result from exposure to DU.

The Armed Forces Health Surveillance Center recently reported that ten years of data confirm that service members tend to have higher rates of certain cancers compared to civilians, according to the Army Times. While researchers suspected that service members are diagnosed with cancer more often and at a younger age because they have guaranteed access to health care and mandatory exams, the data does not explain the disparities in diagnosis among branches of the military. For example, the rate of lung cancer among sailors is twice that of other branches, while Marines have much lower cancer rates across the board.

New Study Shows Vaccines Cause Brain Changes Found in Autism

By Dan Olmsted and Mark Blaxill

Abnormal brain growth and function are features of autism, an increasingly common developmental disorder that now affects 1 in 60 boys in the US. Now researchers from the University of Pittsburgh and Thoughtful House Center for Children in Austin, Texas, have found remarkably similar brain changes to those seen in autism in infant monkeys receiving the vaccine schedule used in the 1990’s that contained the mercury-based preservative thimerosal.

The group’s findings were published yesterday in the journal Acta Neurobiologiae Experimentalis. They used scanning techniques that assessed both brain growth and brain function in the same animals over time. The research team was able to see differences in the way the brains of vaccinated and unvaccinated animals developed. Scans were performed before and after the administration of primary MMR and DTaP/Hib boosters that were given at the human equivalent of 12 months of age.

Throughout the study period, vaccinated animals showed an increase in total brain volume – a feature of the brain in many young children with autism - when compared with unvaccinated animals. However, a specific part of the brain associated with emotional responses that is thought to be important in autism, the amygdala, did not show abnormalities until after the 12-month vaccines had been given. In addition, after the 12-month vaccines only, the functional brain scans showed significant differences between vaccinated and unvaccinated groups. These functional scans looked at the activity of receptors for morphine-like compounds (opioids) that may play a role in the brain of children affected by autism. Vaccine administration was associated with an increase in opioid binding activity in the amygdala compared with a decrease in the unvaccinated group.

Japanese oil tanker may have collided with submarine

Experts in the emirate of Fujairah on Thursday said a Japanese oil tanker thought to have been hit by an explosive may in fact have collided with a submarine.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Given that the damage was to the beam of the oil tanker, it seems more likely that a sub rammed the tanker. This is not as uncommon as you might think. Unless they are using periscopes or radar, submarines actually have a great deal of difficulty sensing ships on the surface of the ocean because of the noise clutter from surface waves. It is a lot harder than the movies make it look.

We had a tragedy out here in Hawaii a while back where USS Greeneville rammed and sank a Japanese fishing boat. Collisions happen all the time, although most are kept classified.

I wonder how things would have worked out for the people of Scotland, had they used their “indoor voice” when negotiating with their English oppressors, some 700 odd years ago. “Calm down,” “chill out,” “walk it off” and “take it easy” are quotes you don’t often associate with that era.

A Little BPA Along with Your Change?

This spring, researchers at Environmental Working Group collected 36 samples of cash register receipts from fast food restaurants, big retailers, grocery stores, gas stations and post offices in seven states and the District of Columbia and had them tested by a renowned lab. The lab found that 40 percent had high levels of the endocrine-disrupting chemical BPA, which has been the target of nationwide efforts to ban it in food and beverage containers, especially those used by babies and children. Animal tests show that BPA, a plastics hardener that is also a synthetic estrogen, can cause reproductive and behavioral abnormalities and lower intellectual ability, as well as setting the stage for cancers, obesity, diabetes, asthma and heart disease.

Weapons Buried at Sea: Big, Poorly Understood Problem

In June, a clam boat happened upon some old military munitions off the coast of Long Island, New York. Mustard gas, released when the fishermen inadvertently hauled in the shells, blistered one crew member and reminded government officials, scientists and the public of the weapons arsenal that is buried deep below the surface of the world's oceans.

This is a major problem here in Hawaii. At the end of WW2 a lot of very nasty stuff got dumped into the local oceans. Mainstream Media Helps BP Pretend There's No Oil

I sent one text message to Bloomberg's Lizzie O'Leary, who's standing on Grand Isle, Louisiana, right now, asking how the beach looks. "Lower part past the barrier untouched with globs of oil that washed up last night," she said. By "untouched," she means by cleanup crews, and that "barrier" she's talking about is the one the press isn't allowed past. I sent another text to Drew Wheelan, who's also in Southwestern Louisiana, doing bird surveys for the American Birding Association, asking him how big the biggest tar mat on Grand Terre—the scene of those now famous horrifying oiled-bird photos—is. "20 feet by 15," he said. "But bigger ones submerged slightly."

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is a new reality show on A&E called "Billy the Exterminator", and while I don't think it will have the legs that "Dog the Bounty Hunter" has, last night they did a special show on the destruction in the Louisiana wetlands in which they went deep into the marshes on air boats and saw how bad the damage is. There is no way that the oil has simply "gone away" between the time they shot the episode and last night when it aired. I could see from the editing this one was rushed through post.

One rather interesting aspect is that the guy who was leading them around the marshes told Billy that they were under orders not to try to save any animals. They were supposed to call a special phone number with a GPS coordinate for the animal, and "eventually" someone would come de-oil the critter. Of course, the implication is that nobody ever shows up , and in any case the animal would be long gone by the time they do. Even though he was told he would get into tr9ouble for it, Billy managed to save a raccoon and get it to a cleanup center.

But the point of all this is, the claims that the oil has just gone away is purely a political exercise to limit BP's financial liability in the case, and to save the Democrats in November.

Meanwhile, all of my readers are requested to send in photographs (preferably with a date and time stamp) of all the oil you can still see on the beaches and waters starting today and continuing until the oil really is cleaned up. Please report all instances where cameras are being blocked from approaching possible oil spills.

End Middle East Wars To Spur Economy

The solution to our fiscal crisis, The Nation magazine editorializes, is to “end the wars, allow the tax cuts to expire and restore robust growth.” That’s because nearly the entire deficit this year and those projected at least for the short term are the result of “the ongoing wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the Bush tax cuts and the recession,” the publication says in its lead editorial of August 2nd.

Yet, while the Obama administration has just pushed through $59 billion more to send 30,000 more troops into Afghanistan to intensify that war and for "nation-building", it has done way too little to help the States maintain needed jobs. “Spending on local projects plummets,” was a June 25th headline in “USA Today.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Many observers have noted that we are already in the early stages of what future history will view as the third World War. I would add to that observation that the same future history will observe that we are already losing it.

That we have been put on a wartime economy is beyond question. Trillions of dollars are being spent on the machinery of death while support for life ebbs daily across this nation. As George Bernard Shaw observed, there is nothing in man;s industry but his greed and his sloth; his heart is in his weapons. Forget the speeches; what a government truly wants is what they will spend the peoples' money on.

So who is winning these wars, and who is losing? Victors are for history and white flags to determine, but I already see who is losing this war. We have fifty acres of tents down at the bottom of this hill filled with the victims of the3se lost wars. Although the rich rulers may never feel the sting, the fact is that every business that closes, every home that is foreclosed, every job that is lost is a victory for the enemy and a defeat for this nation. It does not matter who wears the ribbons and medals; those who pay the costs of wars look pretty much the same on all sides of the conflict, living looted lives while burying their children. Textbooks will point to one group and say they are the better for having achieved victory, while this other group are inferior because they were forced to surrender, but in truth the people on both sides of war are always the losers, while the powerful count the riches looted during the confusion and count themselves clever indeed for it all.

But the truth is that WW3 has already begun, and the USA has already lost it. Take a look around you at the shattered economy, the abandoned factories, the poverty, the decay, the homelessness, and tell me that it could be otherwise.

However, there are another 40 million who are “mildly” infected. They believe, he says, that Jews are “too powerful in finance,” “control the government,” and “control Hollywood.” Such “mild” anti-Semitism, Foxman claims, includes the belief that “the Jews killed Christ.”...

The Afghanistan Files and the Poison of Lies

By Gerd Appenzeller
Indiscretions like those currently from WikiLeaks and the newspapers that reprinted portions of the text therefore have but one goal in mind: to make the truth known.

From Vietnam to Afghanistan: You can’t wage war against the truth. And you shouldn’t, because it’s not truth that’s endangering national security.

Shirley Sherrod, playing the race card, a W.H. political psy-ops?

July 29, 2010
Shirley Sherrod, Quit While You're Ahead
By Larry Elder
But what about the rest of Shirley Sherrod's NAACP speech?
She made this observation about those who opposed ObamaCare: "I haven't seen such mean-spirited people as I've seen lately over this issue of health care. Some of the racism we thought was buried. Didn't it surface? (Audience responds approvingly.) Now, we endured eight years of the Bushes, and we didn't do the stuff these Republicans are doing because you have a black president."
So the self-proclaimed colorblind woman attributes legitimate opposition to the government takeover of health care ... to racism.

The investment arms of the CIA and Google are both backing a company that monitors the web in real time — and says it uses that information to predict the future.

“We’re right there as it happens,” Ahlberg told Danger Room as he clicked through a demonstration. “We can assemble actual real-time dossiers on people.”

Obama to make $85 million from BP disaster

Obama to make $85 million from BP disaster
Submitted by admin on June 18, 2010 – 8:00
But according to this FSB report the largest seller of BP stock in the weeks before this disaster occurred was the American investment company known as Vanguard who through two of their financial arms (Vanguard Windsor II Investor and Vanguard Windsor Investor) unloaded over 1.5 million shares of BP stock saving their investors hundreds of millions of dollars, chief among them President Obama.
For though little known by the American people, their President Obama holds all of his wealth in just two Vanguard funds, ...which the FSB estimates will earn Obama nearly $8.5 million a year and which over 10 years will equal the staggering sum of $85 million.

Depopulation agenda in India: Tons of food rot while Indians starve

10,688 lakh tonnes of food grains rotting in godowns across India
2010-07-28 16:51:44
Heaps of food grains are rotting in Food Corporation of India (FCI) godowns across the country due to apathetic attitude of the authorities concerned, reveals a right to information (RTI) query.
'The FCI godowns have enough space to store food grains properly. Yet the grains are rotting in open spaces on their premises while millions are starving. It's a national shame,' said Dev Ashish Bhattacharya, who filed the RTI application on January 6, 2010.

Assange's MSM pals: How the papers got the leaks

How the papers got the leaks
July 28, 2010
Davies contacted people close to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and found out he was scheduled to speak before European parliament on June 21. Davies met with Assange and said he would offer a team of researchers to identify stories in the documents.
On June 22, during a six-hour coffee-soaked meeting in a Brussels café, Davies says Assange suggested another idea — that The Guardian and The New York Times be given an advance look at some information the site had on the Afghanistan war, with each paper publishing its own take on the documents. Within the next 24 rs, Davies says Assange told him Der Spiegel should be included as well.

New Study Shows Vaccines Cause Brain Changes Found in Autism

Abnormal brain growth and function are features of autism, an increasingly common developmental disorder that now affects 1 in 60 boys in the US. Now researchers from the University of Pittsburgh and Thoughtful House Center for Children in Austin, Texas, have found remarkably similar brain changes to those seen in autism in infant monkeys receiving the vaccine schedule used in the 1990’s that contained the mercury-based preservative thimerosal.

FLASHBACK - How Jewish is Hollywood?

I have never been so upset by a poll in my life. Only 22% of Americans now believe "the movie and television industries are pretty much run by Jews," down from nearly 50% in 1964. The Anti-Defamation League, which released the poll results last month, sees in these numbers a victory against stereotyping. Actually, it just shows how dumb America has gotten. Jews totally run Hollywood.

Who's Paranoid Now? US Military & Blogs (Official Docs)

...At that point the enemy blog might be used covertly as a vehicle for friendly information operations. Hacking the site and subtly changing the messages and data—merely a few words or phrases—may be sufficient to begin destroying the blogger’s credibility with the audience. Better yet, if the blogger happens to be passing enemy communications and logistics data, the information content could be corrupted. If the messages are subtly tweaked and the data corrupted in the right way, the enemy may reason that the blogger in question has betrayed them and either take down the site (and the blogger) themselves, or by threatening such action, give the U.S. an opportunity to offer the individual amnesty in exchange for information.
